◆Your name?
Jedi-Pink/Jedi/Pink/Miya. Whatever you want to call me. xD
◆If possible, your age?
Six to tha teen~
(Will be seventeen in a couple of months)
◆When did you start drawing? What did you draw?
I've been drawing all my life, really. xD But I started seriously making an effort when I was about eleven and a half, and apart of this formerly wonderful place called Zelda Power Fanart. (My uncle was of some inspiration to me, but you can thank =
Mikari for starting up my actually trying to draw. I had been commenting on her art, and after a while we began to chat some, then finally she asked to see some of my art. And I reeeaaally wanted to draw something good for her to see--something better than my usual stuff. Therefore, I finally became interested in really improving my art, and I did. (And I still am xD ))
Let's see...what have I always drawn...
Hah, you know what? I've always drawn people! It's no wonder that's what I excel at now! xD
◆Which hand do you use for drawing?
Right. Though sometimes I doodle with my left for the fun of it. xD (or draw something with my right hand, and then draw the same thing with my left and compare the two. xD)
◆Which is easier to draw - male or female?
Female by a long shot. (despite their anatomy, I still find them far easier to draw than men!)
◆Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
Short hair, I guess. I end up drawing it more often than long hair. xD; (might be out of the fact I don't much like dealing with my own really long hair. Gets in the way and I wouldn't mind having a foot or so chopped off >_< )
Then again, when the hair is really, really short--like typical guy cut? I can't do that very well. It's...hard...o_O (notice none of males have really short hair like that. xD For that matter, most of them probably have what a lot of people would consider "long hair"--though I don't. Long hair to me is like...to your waist and down. xD Any higher isn't too long to me. However, I'm straying from the topic. (as always xDD ))
◆Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
Left. I can draw them to the right just as well as I can the left these days, but left is still easier.
Used to be, I couldn't half draw them to the right at all. Took years of practice to overcome that. o_O
◆Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
Front. Profile view isn't so bad, but I think front is easier.
◆What do you have problems in drawing?
*Hands
*Feet
*Male Faces (they don't always look masculine >_> )
*Animals
*Furniture
*BACKGROUNDS
*Swords and other weaponry
*A pack x_x (always looks retarded when I try...[and by pack I mean like a six-pack or whatever on a male])
(Apparently I have a...er...a few xD...problematic subjects. I'm working on it though!)
◆What do you like to draw?
Humans, or at least humanoids. xD
(Ahrm...My characters, and other people's characters.)
◆Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
Very much so traditional. I can use photoshop pretty well, but it's still not my strong point.
◆Where do you start drawing from?
I draw the basic outline of a head first, then go on to add the skeleton of a body. Soon after I scribble a face onto the person, add hair after the face to ensure I place it properly, and then size down the head because I always draw them too big at first. xD From there I start drawing their body, and after it's drawn give them clothes. (And usually, it's when I'm really proud of the anatomy that I end up having to draw baggy clothes over it because it's the characters costume! Never does that happen with someone who wears something skimpy >_< *cough-in other words I have to cover up the anatomy I was so proud of-cough* )
Okay, well, sometimes the process goes in a different order. Sometimes I get the body down and add the face and hair last. But I explained how I usually do it. xD ◆What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
*Everyone has hair that looks about the same
*Guys end up having girly hips (they look curvy, in other words xD)
*I always end up drawing heads too big
◆What do you keep in mind when you do lineart?
"Don't slip don't slip don't slip..." xD
Either that or I'm planning the description ahead of time, or plotting story for the picture or character.
But usually, even if it's in the back of my mind, the words, "Don't slip" are going through my head. xD;
◆Any tips for coloring/shading?
Practice makes perfect!
(not that my techniques are perfect by any means--but still, my tips always include something about practice. xD)
◆How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
An undefined period of time. ._.
(long, long time.)
◆What music do you listen to while you draw?
Depends on where I am. (in my room or at the computer)
In my room I listen to my current favorite CD. (The three I favor right now are my Thousand Foot Krutch CD, and Nee's two Linkin Park CDs. (Hybrid Theory and Minutes to Midnight))
At the computer I go to playlist.com and go to whichever playlist I feel like hearing, and usually put it on random. xD
◆How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
Uhm...huh, good question.
My ideas usually just come to me. Seriously--I just dream stuff up, then immediately go try and translate it into either a drawing or writing.
◆Your favorite drawing utensils?
My mechanical pencils and erasers. Dear me I go through erasers like...like...I don't know what. xD (I mean those kind you buy in packs of maybe 30 at a time that you put on the end of your pencil...they come to a blunt point on the end, but usually after I use them for a couple of drawings, that point becomes a lot sharper, and easier to erase the little bitty mistakes with. But anyway, I've been using those things since I started drawing five years ago. xD I have kneaded erasers, but I save them for other projects.

)
◆Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
BLACK. Nee says I use too much black.
But what can I say? I'm not one for bright colors, and neither are many of my characters, obviously. xD
(Really--can you imagine someone like Ed in anything besides black? I can't. ._. )
◆Your favorite style(s)?
I like certain anime styles (not all of them for sure, but some of them...) and find realism fascinating. x3
◆Are you satisfied with your current art?
Somewhat...I know it could be a lot better, and I'm constantly working to ensure it does get better, but I am at least a bit pleased with it.
◆What kind of artist are you aiming for?
Uh...I don't know really. I want to be able to use more mediums and styles than I can right now though.
◆Artists tagged must fill in this baton.
I tag whoever wants to be tagged!
